Contacting the Office
The office is often busy relaying messages to students, running copies and assisting the principal with various duties. If you call the office and no one answers please make sure to leave a message with your name and phone number. Messages are checked on a regular basis and a phone call will be returned to you as soon as possible.
Please stop by the main office and notify our school secretary in regards to any changes, restrictions or custody concerns. Copies of any court documentation should be given to the office to have on hand on your child’s cumulative folder. Additionally secondary household parents may receive mailings in regards to their child’s behavior, report cards/progress reports. Special events and news from the school.
Know your Child's Teacher
Request in regards to your child are more quickly performed if you know your child’s homeroom teacher.
Update your Contact Information
It is essential that you update your address, phone numbers and e-mail address with us so that we may contact you in regards to your child in case of an emergency. You may call our school office at 204-1079 and leave a message or e-mail our school secretary at email@example.com or stop by the main office.
All visitors must sign-in the office and wear a name tag while in the building.
Phone Calls to Classrooms
Please note that phone calls are not allowed in the classrooms during school hours. ALL calls will be forwarded to voicemail. If it is an emergency please inform the secretary of the situation and a message will be relayed to your child’s teacher.
Safe Arrival Line
Please call the Safe Arrival Line before 9:00 am to report that your child will be absent from School this day. Remember to stage your child’s first and last name, reason of their absence and the name of their teacher, otherwise the student will be marked as un-excused absence for that day.
Please notify the office of any planned absence of 3 days or more at least 2 weeks in advance. Parents will need to fill out a Planned absence form to make sure that the students is marked with excused absences during this days. The secretary will then notify the teachers so that arrangements can be made to make up any missed assignments.
Transportation Changes and Early Pick-up
Please call ahead of time when you need to pick up your child early from school. In addition you will have to come into the main office and sign your child out in our Student Sign-Out Book. If someone other than a parent or Emergency Contact is coming to pick up your child you must contact us to let us know. We will not release a child to an unauthorized party if we have not been notified by a parent/guardian. Please note that any person signing out a child early may be asked to present a valid picture ID.
To ensure the safety of all of our students, parents must send a note or call the office in regards to any change in transportation. All changes should be made 2 hour prior to dismissal, to ensure that all parties are aware of this change.
