Nuestro Mundo fourth grader Adele Daugherty was a semifinalist in the Madison Public Library and Forward Madison FC’s 4th annual WE READ Youth Voices Writing Contest. Her poem, “I am a Root,” wowed judges with its simplicity and power.
Another Nuestro Mundo fourth grader, Eliso Galmiche Xelhua, also will have his work published in Spanish as part of the contest.
